| Description | Habitat: Various soils in disturbed grasslands, beaches, cultivated places, roadsides and paths. Plant: Creeping or weakly ascending perennial, stems 4 to 12 inches long, with green stems when young, becoming brown, covered with small appressed hairs. Leaves: Compound leaves up to 3 inches long overall, alternately pinnately-divided into 3 to 9 obovate to broadly oblanceolate leaflets each 0.2 to 1.2 inches long and up to 0.7 inches wide; terminal leaflet usually larger than the others. Inflorescence: Racemes 0.8 to 3.5 inches long densely-flowered with 20 to 40 small salmon pink pea-like blossoms about 1/3-inch long. Bloom Period: Year-round. Reference: iNaturalist, Feedipedia and Flora of North America. Note: This plant was found in an RV park in Mission, TX, and is possibly a waif from elsewhere, although iNaturalist shows a number of observations in the Rio Grande Valley nearby. |
