Description Habitat: Moist environments; streamsides, wet ditches.
Plant: Upright perennial 1 to 5 feet tall, numerous branches.
Leaves: Narrowly lanceolate, petiolate to sessile up to 4 inches long.
Inflorescence: Solitary flower heads on pedicels from leaf axils, each about 1-5/8 inches across, with 4 bright yellow petals and 4 green sepals and 8 stamens.
Bloom Period: July to October.
