Description Habitat: Various soils; shaded areas, fencerows, wooded areas thickets.
Plant: Twining perennial vine 6 to 12 feet long, covered with soft, spreading hairs.
Leaves: Large, heart-shaped, hairy leaves, 2 to 4 inches long on petioles 1 to 2 inches long.
Inflorescence: Green star-shaped blossom 1/2 to 3/4 inch across with whitish “pearl” in center, a gynostegia (fused parts of the stamens and pistil).
Bloom Period: April to October.
