Description | Habitat: Prairies and rocky slopes. Plant: Erect perennial up to 9 inches long, several to many stemmed from base; foliage short-hairy, with appressed to upward-curved hairs, scattered minute glandular hairs. Leaves: Alternate, narrowly oblong-spatulate to lanceolate, up to 2 inches long and about 3/8-inch wide, usually much smaller; covered with small hairs; margins entire and somewhat wavey. Inflorescence: Single flowers on pedicels from forks of diverging branches, 1/3 to 1/2-inch across; white or light pink-purple funnel-shaped corolla with 5 lobes with gren veins; calyx with 5 lobes; 5 stamens with yellow anthers; greenish stigma extending slightly above anthers Bloom Period: May to October.
