Description Habitat: Rocky, gravelly areas, sandy or clayey soils, open areas.
Plant: Much-branched, low, sprawling annual forming mounds up to 6 inches tall.
Leaves: Numerous fleshy, succulent leaves 5/8-inch long, narrow linear to lanceolate, alternate; hairs at leaf axils.
Inflorescence: Dark pink to lavender flowers about 1/2-inch across or less, with 5 petals and 5 to 12 yellow stamens.
Bloom Period: March to December.
