Description Erect annual or short-lived perennial grows to 1 to 2 feet tall, several stems; stalkless, ovate/elliptical blue-green leaves about 3 inches long, 3-veined; large blue-purple flowers, 2 to 2-1/2 inches across with 5 petals and yellow 2-lobed stigma in the center; occasionally white, pink or yellow.
